 Cheryl has electrified and captivated Broadway audiences and critics with her original starring roles in The Who's Tommy as The Acid Queen, in Play On as Vy/Vy-Man and in The Civil War as Bessie Toler; for which she was nominated for both the Drama Desk and The Outer Critics Circle Awards. Cheryl has also starred in numerous Off-Broadway Productions including Fame on 42nd Street (Ms. Sherman) and Walmartopia (Vickie Latrell). Cheryl can be heard on the original cast recordings of all the aforementioned credits as well as starring as the voice of the muse Melpomene in Disney's Animated Feature and Cartoon TV Series "Hercules". TV Credits include: "New York Undercover", "One Life to Live", and "Law and Order: Criminal Intent". Film Credits include: Fresh, Dear Diary (Oscar Short Winner), Dead Presidents, Where God Left His Shoes, and Mystery. Cheryl was selected to perform in concert for President Bush, The First Lady, The Senate, Congress and The Supreme Court at the Ford's Theatre Gala In Washington, D.C.. In 2009, Cheryl was asked to return to Washington as one of the stars to perform in Concert for the reopening Ford's Theatre and Lincoln's Bi-Cenntenial for President Obama, The First Lady, and the honor of once again performing for the Senate, Congress, and Supreme Court. |

 Heather has been in love with The Violet Hour since she read it 5 years ago and is terribly excited to be bringing this character to life. For The Active Theater, Heather has created roles in Magnetic North (opposite Christian Campbell) and the company's inaugural production, Touch. Favorite performances include Manson: The Musical, Kathleen and Courtney: A Riot Act (appearing as Courtney Love), The Tempest (Miranda), Edward II (Isabella), Wait Until Dark (Susy), The Laramie Project, and Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange. She is an alumna of Arizona State University and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts/Los Angeles and is currently thrilled to be exploring Stermwork-Primitive Voice with Jean Rene Toussaint. She is a member of Blue Roses Productions and The Active Theater (company co-founder).  NYC credits include the world premiers of You are Now the Owner of This Suitcase and JH3AM (directed by Ari Laura Kreith with Theater 167; where he is a company member). John is also a company member of Mile Square Theater (Hoboken, NJ) where he recently performed the role of George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life. Favorite regional credits include performances in George Street Playhouse's Inspecting Carol (directed by David Saint; starring Dan Lauria and Peter Scolari) and appearing as Jonathan Harker in Dracula (Alabama Shakespeare Festival, directed by Geoffrey Sherman). John spent two seasons as a resident actor at the Worcester Shakespeare Festival where he portrayed Banquo in Macbeth, Theseus/Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing, and Orsino in Twelfth Night. John is also co-Founder and Artistic Director for coLAB Arts New Brunswick Theater Festival in NJ. This program partners working professionals and local New Brunswick High School students in developing long term in-school residencies as well as a summer shakespeare festival. Productions have included a bi-lingual Romeo and Juliet in 2010, and 2011's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in which John also played the role of Bottom alongside members of the Professional Company and High School Apprentices. John earned his undergraduate degree at College of the Holy Cross, and holds a master of fine arts in acting from Rutgers University. |

 Andrew is delighted to be making his Active Theater debut. Recent stage roles in New York and regionally include King Lear (The Fool), I Am My Own Wife (all 35 roles), Waiting For Godot (Vladimir), The Foreigner (Charlie), THE 39 STEPS (Clown; 15+ roles), What the Butler Saw (Dr. Rance), Ghosts (Pastor Manders), and The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Bazzard). He portrays all the roles in his original play Through the Looking Glass Darkly, a Dream Play about Lewis Carroll. Film credits: The Smurfs, Mamarosh (2012), Free Man, and C'est What? Animation voiceovers: the indie short Majnun's Dream Theater Shadow Show and the indie feature The Hunting of the Snark (both premiering in 2012). Education: a B.A. cum laude in English from Harvard College, and an M.F.A. in Acting from UNC Chapel Hill where he taught acting for two years.  Nathaniel is the Founder and Artistic Director of New York City's The Active Theater. For the company, he has directed the world premiere productions of Matthew Keuter's coming of age tragi-comedy Bridgeboy and Jennie Contuzzi's dark drama Body Language, which was recognized as part of the MITF with four festival award nominations. Additionally, The Active Theater produced the world premiere of Anthony Dodge's "Femme Noir" caper Venus Flytrap. Since 2009, audiences have taken notice with the company's inaugural production of Toni Press-Kauffman's introspective Touch, Lee Blessing's war-time drama Two Rooms, the NYC revival of Barry Harman and Keith Herrmann's Broadway musical Romance/Romance, and the New York premiere of William Donnelly's gripping relationship drama Magnetic North. Under Mr. Shaw's leadership, the company has collaborated with artists such as Tony Award Nominees Marcia Milgrom Dodge and Xanthe Elbrick, Jeremy Dobrish, Christian Campbell, and Marc Robin. The Active Theater has presented new works in collaboration with producers Greg Schaffert, Craig Haffner, and Karl Held and recently, joined forces with Bud Martin as Associate Producer on the New York premiere of Bruce Graham's Any Given Monday at 59E59 Theater (October 2011). The Active Theater has established a striving Scene Study workshop and Summer Play Reading series in addition to a new Play Development Series wherein new scripts are given life from readings to produced performances. Mr. Shaw's personal resume includes regional directing credits at the Mount Washington Valley Theater Company (Hair; which garnered 13 NHTA Nominations, Hairspray; 7 NHTA Nominations, A Chorus Line and Damn Yankees). He has choreographed Fiddler on the Roof and Babes in Toyland for The Broadway Palm Theater in Mesa, Arizona in addition to the dance sequences in the film Perception by Daedalus Productions. |
 Mr. Greenberg is the author of The American Plan (on Broadway at Manhattan Theater Club), Take Me Out (Drama Desk Award; NY Drama Critics Circle Award; Outer Critics Circle Award; Lucille Lortel Award; Tony Award for Best Play) which received an acclaimed production on Broadway after successful runs at The Donmar Warehouse (London's West End) and The Public Theater (New York City). Other works include A Naked Girl on the Appian Way (Roundabout Theater Company), The Violet Hour (world premiere at South Coast Repertory, Broadway premiere with Manhattan Theater Club), The Dazzle (Roundabout Theater Company; Outer Critics Circle Award: John Gassner, Lucille Lortel nominations), Everett Beekin, Three Days of Rain (L.A. Drama Critics Award; Pulitzer finalist; Drama Desk, Hull-Warriner and London's Olivier nominations), Hurrah at Last, Night and Her Stars, Life Under Water, and The Author's Voice, among many other plays. His adaptation of Strindberg's Dance of Death was seen on Broadway starring Ian McKellen, Helen Mirren, and David Straithairn.  David is a theatrical artist living and working in New York City. Additionally, David also works as TD for Manhattan Movement and Arts Center; a performance space in Manhattan largely committed to dance, and is also a company member of Blue Roses Theater Company.
