Michele Rafic (JENNIFER SOLE) Actor and vintage clothing aficionado Michele Rafic is thrilled to be a part of In The Middle and The Active Theater. She also happens to be an expert on single malts. Topher Mikels (WILLIAM KING) is happy to be working with the Active Theater again. Off-Broadway theatre credits include: Three Sisters, Big Love (The Wild Project), Richard III (West End Theater), Off Off: F*It Club Spring Fling, Love Affair...Lasts Forever (Theater for the New City), Common Sense (Milk Can Theatre), Antipasto (Theatre Row), and the hit Off Broadway run of Point Break LIVE. Regional work includes: What the Bellhop Saw (Millbrook Playhouse), 6 Characters... Author (Huntington Theatre), As You Like It (Shakespeare Theatre of NJ). Ethan Hova* (JASON KEELY) is an Artistic Associate and frequent collaborator at Exit, Pursued by a Bear, where he appeared in King Lear, Arok of Java, and most recently The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler. Other New York credits include Spinning the Times (Best Actor, 1st Irish Theatre Festival), Rhinoceros (UglyRhino). Film/TV: ER, E-Ring, and the feature film Accepted. Ethan also does a significant amount of new play development with companies like The Lark and Ensemble Studio Theatre. Education: BFA Drama, Carnegie Mellon University.

Heather Lee Harper (EUCALYTPUS RINGER) An alumna of ASU and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, she continually explores the theater arts through Stermwork-Primitive Voice with Jean Rene Toussaint. Favorite performances: The Tempest(Miranda), Magnetic North (Mara), Kathleen and Courtney: A Riot Act (Courtney Love), Edward II (Isabella), The Laramie Project, Anthony Burgess’ A Clockwork Orange, and most recently in the world premiere of Second Skin Theater's Blood Privilege (Szilva). Heather is proud to be a founding member of The Active Theater.
Tim Barker* (STEPHEN MATHIS) was last seen in Active Theater's production of Body Language. Most recently Tim shared the stage with Sally Struthers in 9 to 5 The Musical at Gateway/Ogunquit Playhouses. Off Broadway/National Tour: Twelfth Night/Tartuffe with The Acting Co. Jeff Ronan (AGENT JEFFRIES) New York Theater includes Drunk Art Love with |the claque|, The Last Supper with Rising Sun, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot with Sanguine Theatre, and the Drama Desk Award nominated These Seven Sicknesses at The Flea Theater, where he is a resident company member. Regional Theater includes Humbug and The Shape of Things with Premiere Stages, Red with Re-Vision Theatre, and Henry V, The Electric Baby, and Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England with Two River Theater. David Donahoe (RYAN JONES) appeared last spring as John Greene in the off-broadway production of the musical Jack’s Back. Other credits include Sweet Bird of Youth (Boss Finley), The Changing Room (Danny Crosby), The Cherry Orchard, Action, A Slight Ache, Evangeline, The Lady of Larkspur Lotion. Last fall he was seen as Cornelius Vanderbilt in The Men Who Built America for The History Channel. Recent films include Molly and Under Disheveled Stars. David recently completed work on Why Do You Smell Like the Ocean?, a feature film for Kevin Baggot and Mangu Productions.
Alexander Cook (KYLE) is a New York native/actor (a rare combination, he knows) with extensive experience in stage and film. Since Fall 2011, Alexander has been a member of The Flea Theater’s resident acting ensemble The Bats where he has performed in numerous plays, workshops, and readings. Favorite New York stage credits include Haemon in These Seven Sicknesses (Flea Theater, 2012 Drama Desk Nomination: Best Direction, Ed Iskandar), Multiple Characters in Woyzeck (Aporia Theater), and Steve in Moonbase (Flea Theater). Thanks to Nick, the cast, the crew, and of course, his family for their continuous, unwavering support.

CREATIVES
Megan Sass (PLAYWRIGHT) is a writer, actor, and musical comedian. As a playwright, she has worked with The Claque, Extra Pulp Ensemble, Boz and the Bard, Grizzled Bear Productions, The Vagabond Theatre Ensemble and Shstrng Prdctns. Her one-act play Fan-Boy was a finalist in the Samuel French OOB Festival. As a comedian, she has performed at UCBeast, The PIT, The Parkside Lounge, and with Abemixture, The People Movers, and The Inspired Word series.  As an actor, she has worked with The Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, International WOW, The Public Theater, Odyssey Theatricals, Collaborative Stages, Syracuse Stage, The Williamstown Theater Festival, Collegehumor.com and the Iron Mule Comedy Short Festival. Nick Leavens (DIRECTOR) is the founder/artistic director of |the claque|, a director, producer and writer with a focus on new works. Selected directing credits include: Lieutenant of Inishmore (assistant director, Broadway/off-Broadway), The House of Von Macrame (The Management at the Bushwick Starr), Drunk Art Love, Research: a novel for performance, Unpleasant Men (|the claque|), Moonbase (The Flea Theater), Army Navy, Okay, No Bueno (Ensemble Studio Theatre), Wipe Away (Samuel French Off-Off-Broadway Festival), Meanwhile in Baghdad, Apocalypse: Book One (New York International Fringe Festival). Nick has also directed with At Hand Theatre, Ugly Rhino, SITEfest, the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival, Vital Theater. Nick was a resident director at Ensemble Studio Theatre, is a founding member of Brooklyn based performance and writers collective BOOMSLANG, was the Artistic Director/Producer of the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival and the Producer of New York's first sketch comedy competition, The Funny 2004, 2005. Nick is thrilled to be working with Active Theater.
Joey Scarillo* (STAGE MANAGER) This marks Joey's first production with The Active Theater. New York stage management experience includes The Bushwick Starr, TheatreWorks USA, Secret Theatre Musicals, and Sweet & Tart Productions, as well as a number of productions in the Pittsburgh area where Joey is both a native and a graduate of Point Park University. Emily Bean (LIGHTING DESIGN) holds an MFA in Stage Design from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Regionally she has designed Godspell at Just Off Broadway in Newburgh, NY and America's Brightest Star with Railroad Playhouse also in Newburgh. Jason Marx (ASSISTANT DIRECTOR) Jason's previous Directing credits include: The Dog Kept Sleeping, The Character Channel, and For Honor in Syracuse Stage's Young Playwright's Festival. Previous Assistant Directing credits include Chemistry of Love, The Dutch Play, 155 First Avenue, and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Stage Manager The Dutch Play and Cedars. Jason has also performed in and Assistant Directed in over a dozen staged readings under the direction of George Ferencz at La MaMa. Jason would like to thank Nathaniel, Sarah, and Ben for an amazing first season with Active as the Company Manager.
