Kelsey Venter* (ANDREA) Regional credits include How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Mama Who) at The Old Globe, Tis Pity She’s a Whore (Philotis) and A Christmas Carol with the American Conservatory Theater, the San Diego and Phoenix companies of RESEPCT!, Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown) and Trying (Sarah) with Lambs Players Theater, She Loves Me (Amalia) and Boeing-Boeing (Gloria) with Center REP, The Threepenny Opera (Polly Peachum) and Seagull in the Hamptons (Nina) with Shotgun Players, and I Love You Because (Marcy) with North Coast Rep. Venter received her BA in Theatre from San Diego State University and her MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater.

Davis Hall* (GEORGE) was born in Atlanta, graduated from Northwestern University, and studied in London. He got his Equity card at a dinner theatre near Chicago, and made his Broadway debut in Butley with Alan Bates. Years of Regional Theatre followed: including Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Hartford Stage, The McCarter Theatre, The Shakespeare Theatre (D.C.), Berkshire Theatre Festival, Cleveland Playhouse, Syracuse Stage, Indiana Repertory Theatre. In 1980, while playing Hamlet as a Guest Artist at Florida State University, he met his wife, costume designer, Ingrid Price. He enjoys working on camera, whether in student films, TV shows, or feature films. He has directed 2 short films: Mother’s House and In The Blind which he is currently editing.

Adam Hose* (WILL) recently played his third stint as Mark in RENT at Casa Mañana, after performing its regional premiere at the Hangar Theatre and then again at the John W. Engeman Theatre in NY. David Ojala (MAX) is very pleased to be participating in this workshop of Timepiece! David is a theatrical artist living and working in NYC. Past roles include Trevor in Bridgeboy with The Active Theater, Joey in the Lieutenant of Inishmore at Florida Studio Theater and Steve in the Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, at the Prism Theater Co. Lately, David has been dabbling in other forms of theatrical art. Check him out as he performs in Dogugaeshi, a puppet show by Basil Twist at the Japan Society in August of 2013, or elsewhere on their tour across the country, and then the planet into 2014!

Ben Bartolone (PLAYWRIGHT) is the author of Timepiece (Resonance Ensemble, Brain Trust, The Active Theater); The Tragedie Of Cardenio (Squeaky Bicycle Productions, Brain Trust); Weaker People: A Dangerous Notion (book), a new musical presented as a benefit for Operation: Respect, an anti-bullying charity group run by Peter Yarrow at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in March 2012; the screenplay for Reflections Of A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy (co-author); as well as currently developing two new plays, The National Debt Is Paid and The Hireling And The Slave. He would like to thank everyone at Active, this team, his family, Ginny, and you.
Sarah Shahinian (DIRECTOR) is the Associate Artistic Director of The Active Theater, and is thrilled to be directing the culmination of a year-long development process with Ben Bartolone on Timepiece. Most recently, Sarah directed the San Diego, Rochester, and Phoenix premieres of Dorothy Marcic’s RESPECT: A Musical Journey of Women. As an actor, Sarah most recently performed with the movie cast of Les Misérables at the 85th Annual Academy Awards. Her other on-stage credits include: Les Misérables (Eponine – 25th Anniversary Tour & Houston TUTS), OKLAHOMA! (Ado Annie – Revival National Tour & Fulton Opera House), Little Women (Jo - Syracuse Stage), Magnetic North (The Active Theater & Act II Playhouse). Jason Marx (ASSISTANT DIRECTOR) Jason's previous Directing credits include: The Dog Kept Sleeping, The Character Channel, and For Honor in Syracuse Stage's Young Playwright's Festival. Previous Assistant Directing credits include Chemistry of Love, The Dutch Play, 155 First Avenue, and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Stage Manager The Dutch Play and Cedars. Jason has also performed in and Assistant Directed in over a dozen staged readings under the direction of George Ferencz at La MaMa. Jason would like to thank Nathaniel, Sarah, and Ben for an amazing first season with Active as the Company Manager.
